Request care at home

Nursing support in familiar surroundings

Families looking for a nurse to care for someone at home can begin with a care request. Our team reviews the initial need and location before assessment, quotation and visit planning. Submitting the form does not confirm a booking.

Home nursing may bring together several kinds of support. The assessment determines which services can be included and the level of care required; the same arrangement will not suit every patient.

Support to discuss during assessment

Depending on assessment, nursing support may include medication administration and adherence support, wound care and dressing, catheter and stoma care, and health monitoring. Discuss the support you need so the team can confirm what can be arranged.

Patient and caregiver education can also form part of assessed support. Specific care tasks and visit arrangements must be agreed before care begins. This page does not diagnose conditions, prescribe treatment or interpret monitoring results.

From request to a planned visit

How care is arranged

  1. Request and review. Share the initial care need, location and preferred schedule. An administrator reviews your request.
  2. Assessment and quotation. Assessment guides the care fee. Your quotation includes care, location-based transport paid by the client, and any approved additional charges.
  3. Approval and payment. You approve the quotation. At least 75% of the approved total must be paid and verified before dispatch clearance. Only verified payments count.
  4. Assignment and scheduling. An administrator assigns an available nurse and confirms the schedule and dispatch clearance after all requirements are met.

Please allow at least 24 hours to prepare and arrange a nurse. This minimum notice does not guarantee dispatch or replace any of the steps above.

Where visits can be arranged

Our operating base is Layibi Central, Tegwana Pece Division, Gulu City. Care is provided at clients’ homes across Northern Uganda, subject to staff availability and travel arrangements. Clients do not attend the operating base for care.

Tell us the location when requesting support so travel arrangements and the transport fee can be considered. Care fees are determined after assessment; there is no universal fixed price.

Questions about home nursing

Can I request a nurse for someone at home in Gulu?

Yes. Submit an initial care request with the help needed, location and preferred schedule. The team reviews the request before assessment and confirmation. Care is delivered at clients’ homes; the operating base is not a walk-in treatment facility.

Can one request include nursing and personal care?

You can describe both needs in your initial request. Assessment determines the proposed support and level of care, and the quotation sets out the agreed arrangements.
